We Are All Thankful

votingThis past election day gave us a surprising but grateful relief to our fear that it might go the other way. I immediately thanked God and Praised Jesus for the divine help in saving our nation from further decay into the depths of Liberal corruption and moral decay that would have been able to destroy the nation that once was the greatest on earth.

Constitution & GavelLet’s face it. This is the only country in the world that was founded with recognition of     Continue reading

Our Gun Rights – What Does the Future Now Hold

Donald Trump just won a hard fought campaign for President of the United State, to our amazement and grateful relief. During that campaign, he assured us that our gun rights would be safe if he were elected. Of that we are confident. Surely more confident than if the Hildebeast had won. But what really can we expect to happen to our rights.

declaration_bible_gunThis past Friday, Trump posted on his website, an expansion of his position on concealed carry permits. He said,   Continue reading

WE WON! Trump To Be President

Well, we did it. We moved Donald J. Trump into the end zone with a near landslide election. The election of Donald Trump as President is a repudiation of the Liberal Democrat agenda and an overwhelming repudiation of Obama Care which is one of the main planks in his platform. This election was a repudiation of Democrats and Liberals in general.  People are just tired of stats that show 65 million people now on Food Stamps and 18 million of those are just since the Obama Presidency.  We have had the worst economic recovery since the 1930s.  Republicans won races all across the nation.  With Obama we have not had a GDP increase above 3%  for any year.

Donald Trump won an huge majority of the states excepting the Liberal northeast and the west coast.  California with the millions of illegal aliens allowed to vote came in with an unrealistic vote count of 61% to 38%, largely because of the registration system that now allows you register online with no proof of citizenship or documentation of any kind.

Hillary Clinton is the Vile Criminal – Not Trump

Yesterday, Friday, October 7, 2016, the Democrats and the Liberal Media released a video showing Donald Trump riding a bus from “Access Hollywood”, during which he was making some sophomoric, crude statements about a women. It was not pretty and showed him to be less than respectful toward women. It does not make me proud of him, at least for that time and place eleven years ago.

Holly-er Than Thou

Liberal media outlets now are falling all over themselves with the news, trying to make this the attack that finally takes Trump out. Hillary and the media have been throwing everything they can at him, trying to take him out and hoping something will stick.  They think they have it now.  They know that they cannot compete with him in the arena of ideas so all they can do is attack him.

The truth of the matter  is    Continue reading

Is the Constitution Outdated?

I had someone stop by here asking if the Second Amendment, and thereby the Constitution I assume, is outdated. The Constitution after all, was written back in the eighteenth century by a bunch of guys who aren’t around any more, back when they still used muskets and black powder pistols. How could this Constitution they put together apply today? It does not speak to today so how can it still be relevant?Signing the Constitution

Well, I suppose that is correct in one sense that the Constitution does not speak to today.  For that matter it did not speak to the late eighteenth century either.  It speaks to men, man if you will, acknowledging that we are imperfect, and that whenever power is given to one man, say a king, emperor or dictator, it corrupts.  Power will turn the ambition of most men who achieve power to that of personal enrichment, just as we see what is happening in our government today, unfortunately.  That is why so many of the Republican leadership do not want Trump to become President, even if it means electing Hillary.  Trump represents someone who could upset their gravy train and ruin the good thing they have going for themselves.  He could be their spoiler.  But I digress.

The Constitution tries to limit the corruption of power by allowing us to chose the ones who will govern us, from the people – not a ruling class or family (So what about Hillary?, you say – again I digress – sorry).  It further sets out to limit       Continue reading

Governor Brown Signs 6 New Gun Control Bills

Governor Moonbeam Removed Some More of Our Freedoms

Governor BrownOn this 4th of July weekend and Holiday, we here in the Socialist State we refer to as the People’s Republik of Kalifornistan, we get to also celebrate the loss of some more of our Freedom; Freedom that we thought was guaranteed by our Constitution and the Second Amendment. But when the people continue to vote Democrat they elect a Legislature that is 2 to 1 Democrat to Republican. As a result the Liberal Gun Grabbers are undeterred. The Republicans can do nothing and they watch the Dems, our Moral Superiors, pass whatever gun control law they want, no matter how much it infringes on our Second Amendment Right. And with an Uber Liberal Democrat Governor, Jerry Brown, they get signed into law at about the same ratio.

This is now Illegal

This weekend we celebrate the loss of our AR-15s, AR-10s, AKs and so on.  On Friday before the 4th of July weekend, Governor Moon Beam signed Continue reading

The U. S. A. is Number ONE – in Gun Ownership

Proof Positive for the Liberal Left Antis that we need to Ban Guns.

Every time there is a horrific mass gun killing like we had in Orlando, the rabid left wing of our countries political governance, starts immediately crying for more gun control. They pull out their arsenal of agenda topics, their most favorite rant, Gun Control. House Sit-in (3)This time the Liberals in the House of Representatives weighed in, apparently thinking they were back in the ’60s, as they staged a meaningless and embarrassing “sit in” on the floor of the House.  They point to our sick, twisted obsession with personal gun possession in this country, our fanatical gun culture that is embarrassing to them when compared to their socialist European friends with highly superior gun control laws. We must be the most murdering country in the world, especially after Orlando.

So if we look at the statistics you would expect to find us at the top of the list. And yes, according to statistics for 2014, the United States tops the list in Glory. We are indeed ranked number 1 in the world with gun ownership at 90 guns per 100 people or .9 per person.  Foam FingerIf you had a random gathering of 1000 people, and you got an honest tally of how may guns they own among them, according to the statistics you would find 900 guns in the crowd. Amazing. The next country does not even come close with almost half as many guns at 58.2 guns per 100 people and that would be Serbia. Even Switzerland, where gun ownership almost required, is ranked fourth behind us with only 45.7 guns per 100 people.

There you have it. Something of which Rick Wyatt, Paige Wyatt and the entire crew at Gunsmoke Guns would be proud.  It is proof positive that the United States with their fanatical obsession with guns tops the list by far and we have far too many guns. This is surely evidence to the Progressive Left that they surely do live in the murder capital of the world with 90 guns per 100 residents. We must be the most murderous country in the world with those numbers.

So using Liberal gun thinking, all we have to do to prove the left wing Progressive case for banning guns is look at the Per Capita Intentional Homicide statistics for the murder rate in the world. Surely we must top that list as well. We should be number 1 again. Right?  Wrong.  We are      Continue reading

Gun Control Laws Should Be Repealed

Gun & Constitution 2If you take a look at the more than 13,550 gun laws we have in the United States including federal, state and local laws, I defy you to find even one that has saved a life, prevented a crime, prevented a mass murder or political assassination. It can’t be done. Gun Control laws do not save lives or make people safe. To the contrary, they make people less safe by denying them the ability to defend themselves from predation.  So now they want what they like to call “Common Sense Gun Laws”.  There is no such thing.  They all make citizens less safe.

Most gun laws on the books today are there as a result of an emotional, irrational over reaction to some tragedy or sudden perceived threat.  None of the laws are based on Constitutional Law, or are consistent with overall dominant public opinion. Each and every gun control law is Unconstitutional by     Continue reading

Should We Just Give Up Our Rights? Surrender Our Guns?

Today, a week after the horrific slaughter in Orlando, the battle lines have clearly been drawn. Problem is, the Liberal Democrats seem to be better at staying focused on their agenda and hype. They seem to keep the drum beat for Gun Control banging in every direction you look.

The Liberals want to take the guns out of our hands and the Republicans believe we need to fight the war to defeat terrorism – “Militant Islamic Terrorism”.

Obama at PodiumThe idea of people walking around with concealed carry weapons is abhorrent to our President.  Obama actually said “the notion that the answer to this tragedy would be to make sure that more people in a nightclub are similarly armed to take out the killer defies common sense.”, – his words.  More correctly, his statement defies common sense.  People with their own weapons in the club could have     Continue reading

It’s Time To Eliminate The Gun Control Laws: Yes, All Of Them

By Michael Z. Williamson

Behavioral laws require three components to be effective.  They must accurately describe an action that causes harm to others. They must propose a penalty that disincentivizes the activity. They must be enforceable.

Williamson-books

Michael Williamson at Book Signing

Let’s consider the laws against murder. The harm done is obvious. The penalties range up to death. They can be enforced by an examination of the evidence during trial, and punishment.

How about “disturbing the peace?” If you plug in a Gibson ES35 guitar and a stack of Marshal and Hi-Watt amps at 2 a.m. and start playing Black Sabbath’s “Iron Man,” there’s a good chance your neighbors will complain.  If they do, we have a clear report of harm done (minor harm, but relevant), and can again have an examination, trial and punishment, probably a fine.

Of course, we could prevent some of those incidences by licensing guitars, having waiting periods on amplifiers, and requiring proof of need for any amp over 20 watts.

Wait, how would that work exactly?      Continue reading

Wyoming Is Now a “Constitutional Carry” State

The Governor of the State of Wyoming recently signed a law effectively making the State of Wyoming the fourth state to adopt what is called a “Constitutional Carry” law, which means that citizens are not required to obtain a special, government issued permit or license to carry a concealed weapon.  Governor Matt Mead signed the legislation into law after the state’s House of Representatives passed the bill in a 48-8 vote several weeks ago.

While there have been no significant developments in concealed gun carry laws in most other states, Wyoming now has joined the ranks of three other states who already have constitutional carry laws including, Arizona, Alaska and Vermont.  A few other states, such as California, are actually looking to make their carry laws more restrictive in the wake of the horrific Arizona shooting that killed a Federal Judge and five other people. Gun law extremists miss no opportunity to exploit a terrible tragedy such as that to ramp up and advance their liberal agendas.

However, Colorado and Montana are currently considering similar proposals to Wyoming’s in their state legislatures.  House Bill 1205, currently in Colorado’s legislature has passed the House of Representative in a 40-25 vote.  It has now gone on to the Senate where it has been endorsed by the Senate Judiciary Committee by an 8-3 margin. Colorado’s bill will make it legal to carry a concealed weapon without a permit.

In Oklahoma, voters have an opportunity to approve an “open carry” law that would allow citizens to carry a weapon whether it is concealed or unconcealed, if they go through an approved state sponsored concealed weapons program.  This bill was unanimously approved by the House Public Safety Committee which put it on a statewide ballot where its future will be decided by the citizenry.

The push to expand permit free gun carry laws is coming from a increasing number of people who are concerned about being able to defend themselves in the face of a growing armed criminal element that would otherwise have an extreme advantage over unarmed citizens. It is driven by law abiding citizens who want the government to stay out of their face as they exercise their fundamental and civil right to own and carry property.  Arms, by the way, are the only enumerated property in the Constitution or Bill of Rights that you are guaranteed the right to possess.

The recent rise of the Tea Party and other constitutional conservatives has fortified a movement to bring “constitutional carry” to other states, giving push back to the sense that many Americans have allowed gun control activists to steadily erode their liberties for many years.  Legislators are recognizing that restrictive gun laws so far enacted have been unsuccessful at reducing violent gun crimes and more often exacerbate the problem.  When faced with statistics that show violent crime rates fell in less restrictive gun law jurisdictions, they realize that taking the guns away from law abiding citizens is not the answer.

In a recent interview, Florida State Senator, Greg Evers (R-Dist.2) stated, “I’ll feel safer around a law-abiding person openly carrying a firearm because criminals will stay away.  Criminals do commit crimes”, he said, “but they’re not all stupid: most criminals will avoid armed citizens because they don’t want to be shot.”

People who neglect the exercise of their constitutional rights, may soon find those rights have been usurped by the State.  First Arizona and now in Wyoming, the people are pushing back.
